There once a guy, my ex, sang 'The Only Exception' by Paramore to me while accompanying me ate Sushi, he never liked Sushi and never will, if it was not me, he'll say NO to the idea of eats sushi, he said. It was flattered me at that time.
Later on, I decided to leave him 'cause i caught him having affair with several women. Not one, but several. Lol.
But that song always touches my heart. Not because of the memory of my ex (duh!), but I think the lyric is so true..
Lying, cheating, having affair, or whatever the terms that related to doing something behind our partner's back.. makes me think how we as a human can't never be satisfy enough with what we have. We always wanted more.. We always have a reason to want more. Probably more than we can bare.
Every single time we put trust on someone and find out that they broke it, but we still have the strength to reassemble our heart once again, i know that there's still love deep down.
On the the other hand those broken trusts makes me enjoy keeping a comfortable distance. A shield just to make me save. A feeling behind a feeling. Just a precaution of not getting hurt.
Anyhow, we all must have that someone that will always be our exception. No matter how they had hurt us before, and probably will hurt us again in the future..
And as the opposite from the lyric of 'The Only Exception', even though i've been through several broken promises, I still believe that love does exist :)
